I chose to show what could be achieved via different printing processes when producing a book with its modern electronic opposite - a Kindle. For this I selected an article which debated the topic, as I wanted to visually compare both sides of the argument.
My Solution
To visually compare both sides of the argument and emphasise the differences between a Kindle and a physical book, I designed a book using fun, energetic print design compared with the bland monotone designs of a kindle.
I chose my colour pallete to be the base CMYK shades as this demonstrated print in a very simple and strong format.
The book is the size of a Kindle original.
I wanted my print pages to exaggerate the excitement and variety that print
has to offer, and the pages to be seen as a pieces of art rather than just simple articles.
In addition, I designed my Kindle pages to look realistic yet bland in comparison.
